Fingerstyle guitarist and multi instrumentalist Luca Sirianni plays a diversity of music from pop and rock to jazz, he is also inspired by Brazilian/latin jazz and blues genres, and many of his compositions exhibit these influences.
Luca’s own musical journey began in Southern Italy in a small town of the Calabria region, he moved to Florence in his teens, and later to London where he lived for several years before relocating to San Francisco in 2011 with his wife.
He started playing the guitar at the age of 11 when his older sister bequeathed him the instrument, a book of chords and knowledge of the “C” turnaround.
Within days, he had taught himself to play and hours of practice and dedication followed.
After three months, he was performing live for the first time with his little school band. The trajectory towards mature musicianship had begun.
Luca is entirely self-taught. Among sounds that influenced him along the way were the blues and rock playing of Mark Knopfler and David Gilmour.
In his mid-teens, Luca discovered Joe Pass, Chet Atkins and George Benson, which introduced him into new musical territories.
Over the years Luca has collaborated with several artists through his travels developing a solid level of musicianship in multiple genres and building up an international repertoire.
Popular instrumental duo format are:
- Guitar and Violin
- Guitar and Saxophone
- Guitar and Mandolin
For a trio or quartet an accordionist, drummer, and/or bass player can also be added.
Luca can perform from soloist to full band, whether for a small and intimate gathering or major music festival. He also provides DJ services when clients may prefer this feature.
